I'm Rick Boyd and along with my wife, Tatiana we're opening The Kingtide. We both took a very long and circuitous route to Maine. My life started on a small farm in East Texas, her a little mill town in Southern Idaho. We met in a restaurant and have spent the last 26 years together in restaurants. Before Maine we had restaurants in Idaho and Lake Tahoe. We left Lake Tahoe in 2022 after one of our restaurants  was destroyed in a wildfire and decided then and there we need to go somewhere that didn't catch on fire every summer. We both loved Maine so we loaded up the cats and off we went. 

Arriving in Maine in November 2023 we went to work building our future. It wasn't long before we settled in and opened Rambler Irish Bistro in Yarmouth. Now with Rambler well established we're setting out to bring something we think is sorely absent in Freeport, a dedicated white table cloth seafood restaurant and bar. Our vision is one of community, creativity and a global influence utilizing locally grown, harvested and foraged ingredients all presented with a wink to the unexpected,
